In exactly one hundred days, the twice-delayed Invictus Games The Hague 2020, presented by Jaguar Land Rover will start. The fifth edition of this international sporting event for wounded, injured and sick Servicemen and women will take place from 16 to 22 April 2022. The Zuiderpark in The Hague will be transformed for this occasion into a compact and sustainably designed Invictus Games Park.
The Invictus Games uses the power of sport to stimulate recovery, support rehabilitation and generate wider understanding and respect for those who serve or have served their country. Plans always put the safety and well-being of competitors and their Friends & Family first. Since the inaugural Invictus Games in 2014 in London, the Invictus Games have been held in Orlando (2016), Toronto (2017) and Sydney (2018).
In total, almost 500 competitors from 20 countries will take part. At the time of writing, it is unfortunately already clear that the team from New Zealand cannot be physically present, but will be involved as part of the Invictus Family. The latest version of the sports schedule below has now been published, subject to possible covid measures that may be in place at the time.

As an organisation we also want to show our resilience and our Invictus Spirit by presenting an unforgettable event to the world in 2022, before handing it over to Düsseldorf 2023.”
Also Wouter Bakker, Team captain of the Dutch Invictus Games Team is ready for it: “Only 100 days left before the Invictus Games start. Now it’s getting really close. We have trained very hard with the whole team and I am looking forward to experiencing the games as a team in The Hague. We are ready for it!”
