What we do and why we do it:
The Invictus Games are not about winning medals. The Invictus Games primarily focus on showing the strength of the wounded, injured or sick Servicemen and women by discovering his or her potential, mental strength, ability to recover and should act as an example for everyone who is struck by fate. This important focus on social impact is what drives us. Participating nations in the Invictus Games have important common values and merits. Their service personnel were asked to answer the call of duty to bring freedom and the conditions for democracy to the world, knowing as they did so of the risk of long-lasting injuries, or illnesses.

These brave men and women are the heart and soul of the Invictus Games, every humble effort we take is focused on their rehabilitation, recovery and happiness. It’s all about their competitor experience.

Our belief:
The participants all have their own story of physical and/or psychological injury or illness. But all of them have found the inner strength to go on and reinvent themselves. Sometimes alone, often with the help of family and friends, but always through the power of sport. The Invictus Games The Hague 2020 is the platform to share their stories and add another chapter to their book of life.
